Description

Revolutionary in its time for its sheer size, the Bismarck hounded Allied shipping lanes in the Atlantic at the start of World War II but was sunk by the British Navy in 1941.

The German battleship Bismarck is one of the most famous warships of the Second World War. The lead ship of her class, she was named after the 19th-century German chancellor Otto von Bismarck. Bismarck’s fame came from the Battle of the Denmark Strait in May 1941 (in which the battlecruiser HMS Hood, flagship and pride of the British Royal Navy, was sunk), from Churchill’s subsequent order to Sink the Bismarck, and from the relentless pursuit by the Royal Navy that ended with her loss only three days later.

Its key features are:
1-piece full hull
3-piece main deck with raised plank detail
Well detailed superstructure
Full weapons suite (main and secondary artillery adjustable in elevation)
2 Arado floatplanes
Ship’s boats
Nameplate and display pedestals

Model based on Tamiya mold Completed length is approximately 28.1 long Includes painting notes
